Do you have very slow Internet? There may be a very good reason. Here’s some suggestions…
If you ring your ISP’s Tech Support (all the numbers are here) ask them to perform a line test to see if there is a fault on the line. If everything is OK with the line ask them to do a flush/line refresh/port reset and this will usually bring the speed straight back after several minutes. It’s like a plumber flushing dirty pipes to remove any blockages.
If you live in Australia and are still on ADSL, the connection can be quite erratic, with it becoming very slow or dropping out frequently.
Unfortunately this all seems to have come about since the advent of the NBN. Hmmm.
